PEAK Letter - September 2009
Dear Montclair Families and Staff,
We are excited to introduce the Montclair School P.E.A.K. Partnership! This is a new school partnership
between Parents, Educators And Kids (P.E.A.K.). We will continue to support the school and students by
providing and funding the various programs, family activities, events, and Enrichment Grants that PTA
has provided thus far. And while providing these extras is important to us, our work goes well beyond
raising money.
Our key mission is to promote and support a school environment where staff can do their best work and
our students can do their best learning. Additionally, we strive to be inclusive and build a strong
community partnership. Every parent and staff member at Montclair is automatically a member of
P.E.A.K., and there are no dues to pay.
Please know that we don’t expect a huge time commitment. An hour can be a big help to the school, and
we have positions and tasks to fit all schedules and interests. Just let us know whether a program, event,
or activity interests you and when you might be free to help. Pick up a Volunteer Handbook in the office
or contact Amy Boatright, Volunteer Coordinator, at 303-316-0941 or amyboatright@mac.com to explore
the many ways to be involved.
Research shows that students whose parents are involved in their education have better grades and
fewer discipline problems. Involvement at the school also makes it easier to establish friendships
between teachers and parents. We promise that the time you give to the school will be worth your
while—and fun!
Feel free to call or e-mail if you have any questions. Together, we can make a difference at our school!
Sincerely,
Montclair School P.E.A.K. Partnership
