Parent Pitch In Day
Thank you for your interest in Parent Pitch-In Day being held on October 24th, 2009 from 9:00 am to
1:00 pm. Anyone can participate, even if for an hour or two. We hope you can join us!
This event is scheduled on the fourth Saturday of October to coincide with National Make A Difference
Day, which is the most encompassing national day of helping others and volunteering.
Below is a list of the projects that we hope to accomplish. Please email Jeff Todd at
jeffrey_todd@comcast.net if you are planning to come and if you have a preference for where you are
assigned to help out. We look forward to seeing you!
Outside:
1. Clean up outdoors, put flower beds to rest, plant bulbs and pansies. (4 people)
2. Rake and bag leaves. (4 people)
3. Spread mulch under pine trees at entrance. (4 people)
Inside:
1. Clean seats in the auditorium. (4-6 people)
2. Move furniture. (3 people)
3. Clean/disinfect toys, furniture in ECE and K classrooms. (4-6 people)
4. Clean/disinfect tables in remaining classrooms. (4-6 people)
5. Paint baseboards upstairs. (4-6 people)
We already have most of the supplies we will need at school, but it may be helpful to bring rakes,
gardening tools, buckets, gloves, etc. just in case. Thanks!
