Parent Volunteers
We are seeking volunteers to help run games and activities during recess. Our recesses run from 11:10 – 1:00. If you are interested in volunteering, please contact Nicole Cooper-White at 720-424-5380 or nicole_cooper-white@dpsk12.org.
Valentines day celebrations
Monday is Valentine’s day. Our theme is kindness and friendship. We do not feel that it is appropriate to talk about having boyfriends and girlfriends at our elementary school and we appreciate your support in this.
New Signage
The city will be installing no parking signs along Richtofen in the upcoming weeks to allow for a better flow of our Kiss and Go. Please be advised to avoid a ticket.
A Message from the Health Office
Hello Montclair Families,
As you may have learned this week Denver Public Schools (DPS) announced the end of the district-wide mask mandate which will go into effect on Monday, February 28th, 2022.
DPS is still strongly recommending mask-wearing in indoor spaces, especially if you are not fully vaccinated, in crowded indoor settings or in places without good ventilation. Please continue to send your student to school with a well-fitted face mask if you would like them to wear a mask in the school building. It is OK to wear a mask. We will support you whatever decision you choose to make.
Montclair will no longer provide masks to students.
Vaccination proves to be the strongest tool to prevent individuals from getting very sick from COVID-19. Please watch this video by Denver Health’s pediatric physician, Dr. Fedrico, to learn more about where the health professionals stand with the changes in our COVID-19 policies. You can assess the video by clicking here. If you are interested in finding out more about getting your students vaccinated for COVID-19, please visit this website. COVID-19 Vaccine Information for the DPS Community.
We anticipate learning more about changes in COVID-19 protocols in the upcoming weeks and will share that information with you as soon as we have a plan for Montclair.
If you have any questions or concerns, please do not hesitate to contact the Montclair Health Office or any of our administrators.
Thank you!
