Wow, it is March and spring is on the horizon. The weather this week has been wonderful; Colorado at its finest.
Next week is our Student-Led Conference week. Your child’s teacher will send you an invitation for a virtual conference. This is a great opportunity to see your child’s learning and leadership in action. The students have been working hard to prepare for this conference and cannot wait to share their growth, learnings, and reflections with their families.
Important Dates
Second Grade Arrival and Dismissal
Our arrival and dismissal will remain out front for the remainder of the year. For second graders, we will shift them down Newport towards the south Newport door. This is closer to the second grade classrooms. We will teach the second grade students where to stand on Monday and the change will begin on Tuesday, March 8th.
Parent Volunteers
Now that the Covid restrictions have been lifted, we would like to have more parent volunteers in the school. We are looking for recess support, cafeteria support, copying and clerical support, enrichment support and more. All volunteer opportunities require a background check (https://app.sterlingvolunteers.com/en/Candidates/Account/Register). Please complete the background check and then reach out to Nicole Cooper-White at nicole_cooper-white@dpsk12.org.
