This is Scott’s 17 year at Montclair. He started his teaching career as a classroom teacher back in Berkeley, CA, and began as a 4th grade teacher at Montclair in 2010. Scott enjoys learning new things and sharing his knowledge with his students. As a PE teacher he enjoys watching the growth of the students who he sees year after year. Over the many years and through all of Montclair’s changes one thing has remained constant and that is Scott’s esteem for his coworkers. Sometimes students can be difficult and having a group of people that look out for each other and step up for the students and coworkers makes this job manageable.
Este es el año número 17 de Scott en Montclair. Comenzó su carrera docente como maestro de aula en Berkeley, California, y en 2010 se incorporó a Montclair como maestro de cuarto grado.
A Scott le gusta aprender cosas nuevas y compartir sus conocimientos con sus estudiantes. Como maestro de Educación Física, disfruta especialmente observar el crecimiento y desarrollo de los alumnos a quienes tiene la oportunidad de acompañar año tras año.
A lo largo de los años y de todos los cambios que ha vivido Montclair, algo se ha mantenido constante: el profundo respeto y aprecio que Scott siente por sus compañeros de trabajo. Reconoce que trabajar con estudiantes puede presentar desafíos, y valora enormemente formar parte de un equipo que se apoya mutuamente y que siempre está dispuesto a dar un paso al frente por el bienestar de los estudiantes y de sus colegas. Para Scott, ese sentido de comunidad y colaboración hace una gran diferencia en el trabajo diario.
