Gavin Triplett was born and raised in Alaska, which lead to a deep appreciation of nature and community organizing. He received his Bachelors in Economics with minors in French, Business, and Mathematics from the University of Alaska Anchorage. Afterwards, he moved to Colorado and started substitute teaching during COVID. Montclair became his second home, where he became a Special Education Paraeducator before becoming a teacher. Gavin has since started classroom teaching and received his Masters in Elementary Education from Western Governor’s University. He is committed to community organizing and sees education as a pathway to positive societal change. He also loves helping students realize their ability to utilize literacy, math, and science to reach their potential as a person. When he’s not working, Gavin likes to spend time reading, climbing, hiking, and relaxing in nature.
Gavin Triplett nació y creció en Alaska, una experiencia que fomentó en él un profundo aprecio por la naturaleza y la organización comunitaria. Obtuvo su licenciatura en Economía en la University of Alaska Anchorage, con especializaciones secundarias en Francés, Negocios y Matemáticas.
Más adelante se mudó a Colorado y comenzó a trabajar como maestro sustituto durante la pandemia de COVID-19. Montclair se convirtió en su segundo hogar, donde primero se desempeñó como paraeducador de Educación Especial antes de convertirse en maestro. Desde entonces, Gavin ha comenzado a enseñar en el aula y obtuvo una maestría en Educación Primaria de Western Governors University.
Gavin está comprometido con la organización comunitaria y considera la educación como una vía para generar cambios positivos en la sociedad. También disfruta ayudar a los estudiantes a reconocer cómo pueden utilizar la lectura y la escritura, las matemáticas y las ciencias para desarrollar su potencial y alcanzar sus metas.
Cuando no está trabajando, a Gavin le gusta leer, escalar, hacer senderismo y relajarse en la naturaleza.
