Javiera Paz Ihrig Reyes earned a B.A. at George Washington University and an M.A. in Curriculum and Instruction at the University of Denver. A lifelong learner, she is is a fellowship recipient in DU’s Educational Leadership and Policy Studies Doctoral Program. As a LatCrit and DisCrit scholor, her research areas include decolonizing methodologies, neurodiversity in education, and immigration policy.
Javiera spent the past ten years. working in Denver Public Schools as a teacher, teacher leader, instructional coach, and administrator. Javiera is originally from Vina Del Mar, Chile, and came to the United States at Seven years old. She is Mestiza, of mixed Spanish and Mapuche Indigenous roots. She is fluent in Spanish and English.
Javiera loves Star Trek and dreams of a world of exploration without colonization.
